MOST people agree that now is not the right time to scrap the 11-plus exam, a Guernsey Press online survey has shown.
Of 851 responses, only 337 - just over 44% - said Education's new board should get rid of selection.
The department is currently engaged in a public consultation to consider whether the test should be streamlined from seven exams to two.
Minister Deputy Robert Sillars said the result of the online survey was 'interesting'.
But he reiterated that now was not the time to have a debate on the 11-plus.
