New operator CT Plus said yesterday that it had suffered 'an acute and unforeseen shortage' of drivers.
The Guernsey Press reported at the beginning of April that there were concerns over unrest among drivers, with sources stating that workers were on the verge of walking over amendments to their conditions of employment.
At the time CT Plus declined to discuss the specific changes that were understood to have angered drivers.
But it confirmed yesterday that three drivers had left, and the resultant 'large' recruitment drive meant new drivers were still being trained.
