Hit and run driver who struck father of two sought by police

AN ALDERNEY man is being treated in hospital in Southampton today  for 'significant' injuries after being left unconscious in the road by a hit and run driver.

AN ALDERNEY man is being treated in hospital in Southampton today for 'significant' injuries after being left unconscious in the road by a hit and run driver.

States worker Danny Kelleher, aged 36, was found lying in the middle of Braye Road at around 6am yesterday, having suffered serious injuries that police said were indicative of being hit by a car.

Guernsey Police have sent nine officers to Alderney to investigate.
