AN APPLICATION for a new aircraft hangar, which was rejected seven times, has been approved by Environment's new political board.

Neighbours yesterday said they were disgusted with the decision to give permission for the building, based in the Forest.

But the applicant insists that the private jet hangar, which will be developed adjacent to La Planque Lane, will have huge economic benefits for the island.

The proposal, made by EGJB Hangarage Ltd, will see the aircraft storage with a taxiway, apron and 23 car spaces built to the west of the existing Aero Club hangar.
