GUERNSEY, the Isle of Man and Jersey will explore ways of working together to combat intentional threats.

Chief Minister Peter Harwood, deputy chief minister Jonathan Le Tocq and Treasury and Resources minister Gavin St Pier yesterday met their counterparts from the Isle of Man to discuss a closer working relationship between the two islands.

It follows a similar meeting with Jersey earlier this month.

'Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey have new governments and new chief ministers,' said Deputy Harwood.

'There is an opportunity for all three islands to work together to meet the challenges that are common to us, not least in the way we manage our external relations. We will be exploring ways of doing this at ministerial level in the coming weeks.'

The Isle of Man delegation comprised Chief Minister Hon. Allan Bell MHK and Treasury minister the Hon. Eddie Teare MHK.
