Former jurat rewarded for voluntary service

RETIRED jurat Alan Bisson has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for his voluntary service as a member of the Royal Court.

RETIRED jurat Alan Bisson, pictured, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for his voluntary service as a member of the Royal Court.

Jurat Bisson retired from the role on his 75th birthday in January after 16 years in the post.

While a jurat, he dedicated his free time to working with eight charitable organisations, three of which he is still involved with today.
