PUPILS from Le Murier School pupils carried on camping at Rue Maingy on Wednesday despite the storm.

But last night's predicted high winds did force them to break camp yesterday.

On the roads, States Works was dealing with the aftermath of Wednesday night's storm, which saw many lanes flooded.

Senior manager for services Malcolm Cleal said areas such as the Rohais and King's Mills had been particularly badly affected.

'There are black spots, but because it happened late at night, the water has drained away naturally,' he said.
