LT-GOVERNOR Air Marshal Peter Walker should ensure that a report recommending key changes to Sark's government is adopted, the Sark Newsletter has urged.
Editor Kevin Delaney said in the latest edition of the publication that it was the Lt-Governor's duty to oversee good governance in the island.
A report by former Ministry of Justice information director Belinda Crowe - which recently received the backing of Justice Minister Lord McNally - has recommended a number of changes, including the introduction of a small public service and greater transparency within Chief Pleas.
And Mr Delaney said that, as Lt-Governor, Air Marshal Walker held powers he could use to put pressure on Sark officials to implement the recommendations.
