UK offers Sark help in deciding future

MINISTER of State for Justice Lord McNally has written an open letter to all members of Sark's Chief Pleas promising Government help for Sark reform.

Lord McNally, pictured, wrote that it was for the people of Sark to decide their priorities for the future and how to address them, but he added that the British Government, along with the governments of the other Crown Dependencies, 'stands ready' to provide practical support where Sark wished to draw on it.

Details of the letter were given by General Purposes and Advisory chairman Charles Maitland at yesterday's Chef Pleas.
