HALLOWEEN and parking are the two main concerns raised by residents over a new housing development on Route des Coutures.

The Guernsey Housing Association has applied for planning permission to build 14 sheltered accommodation flats on the former South Legion site. That would include 13 parking spaces.

Bruce and Trish Gordon live close by and said that would not be enough.

'It will be better than the current rat-infested eyesore,' Mr Gordon said.

'But 13 spaces is not enough. Everyone has a car these days. They need 14 spaces and a couple for visitors.'
