LES Beaucamps High will be a school fit for the 21st Century when the new build opens its doors for the first time this year, its head teacher has said.

Peter Le Cheminant was the proud host as members of the media were given a special preview tour of the facility, which is set to welcome teachers and students in September.

Furnishings such as interactive whiteboards and state-of-the-art IT and design equipment are yet to be installed.

But other modern aspects such as the building's natural ventilation system, acoustic boards which will mean teachers do not have to shout, and windows that open automatically according to temperature, were all on show.

Mr Le Cheminant said moving into the state-of-the-art facility would be a big boost to the school.
