TWO local teachers who set up class blogs to interact with pupils and parents have been shortlisted in a national education competition.
Vauvert School Year 3 teachers Peter Curtis and Jerry Thomas entered each other's work for The Education Blog Awards 2012 after seeing it advertised.
And although neither of them won, both were delighted to make it to the top 10 – out of 900 entries.
'I was amazed to see how many people must have voted for us,' said Mrs Thomas.
'The fact that we were shortlisted means that other people, other than the children in our classes, must have voted, which is brilliant.'
