The carnival is back in Town...

TOWN retailers would like to see more entertainment in the area to help bring in extra customers and to boost trade.

They said regular events, such as this year's Town Carnival – or La Faete dla Musique a la ville – had a positive impact on their businesses.

A parade was held on Saturday to mark the week-long event and featured the Guernsey Concert Band, Guernsey Majorettes and traditional Guernsey dancers.

Organised by the Town Centre Partnership, the carnival will include live music, dance and street entertainment all week and is put on each year to draw crowds into St Peter Port.
