And the newly-promoted local side did not disappoint the 1,185- strong crowd, beating Croydon 8-0 in the CCL Premier Division.
Among the spectators were father and son, Jeff Vidamour, 56, and Adrian Vidamour, 23.
'We come to most of their games – as much as we can,' said Mr Vidamour junior.
'I really enjoy the atmosphere and it's great to see what it has brought to the island. I think Guernsey is more recognisable in the UK now.'
