One in 10 A-level grades gained by Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre students were A* as the school recorded its best ever pass rate.
Head teacher Tina Watson, who took up the post in January, confirmed that her students achieved a pass rate of 99.5%, up from 99.3% last year.
More than half of Elizabeth College A-level students passed with either an A or A* grade.
For the second year in a row, the school had a 100% pass rate.
The College of FE's improving BTec grades reflect the importance of students and staff working together, the vice-principal said.
Steve Dudley was delighted as 42% of students achieved distinction grades, equivalent to A-level grades A to A*, and 82% gained the equivalent of A to C grades, both up 10% from last year.
Blanchelande College students achieved a 96% pass rate in what could be the last year that the school offers A-levels.
The college suspended entries into the sixth form last year, meaning the last students taking A-levels got their results yesterday.
Solid A-level results have shown Ladies' College girls handled the pressure of increasing competition for university places, the school's principal has said.
Jo Riches said she was delighted that all 65 students had passed, with 73% achieving a B grade and above, and 40% an A grade and above.
