Belton sets hosts on way to victory

TOBY BELTON and the extras column underpinned a good win for the Guernsey Under 17s at KGV yesterday.

In the first of three games in three days between the two age-group sides, the locals romped to a 78-victory.

Batting first, opener Belton's patient 79 held the innings together, but the total would not have got anywhere near its concluding 255 in 45 overs had it not been for 78 extras.

On a wicket that was not easy to score quickly on, Belton hung around the distance.
