THERE are still many unanswered questions hanging over the appointment of Sark's first civil servant and the Belinda Crowe review of government, conseillers have said following the decision to approve an interim chief secretary.
The proposal was supported by 18 votes to nine, but many of the island's politicians left Chief Pleas with doubts over the cost of the six-month position, how engaged islanders would be in future moves towards government reform and how far it would go.
Conseiller Sandra Williams, pictured, who did not support the proposal, said she would have to accept the decision.
But she warned there would be consequences as a result.
'There are still a lot of unanswered questions and I would hope there is a lot more consultation with the public going forward,' she said.
