Newsroom Live - 24 September, 2012

The aftermath of yesterday's storm is one of the stories occupying the attention of the newsroom today.

The heavy downpour brought with it flooding and the gales caused damage around the island, and our team will be catching up with people affected over the course of the day.

We'll also be pursuing the story of the Huelin Dispatch running aground off Alderney at the weekend, and we're expecting to hear from the Marine Accident Investigation Branch as they begin looking into the incident.

Former deputy speaker of the House of Commons Baroness Janet Fookes is paying a short visit to the island, and today we'll be going along to see her visit the St Saviour's Community Centre.

Reaction to the increase in the price of milk continues to come from different quarters, and today it's the turn of Guernsey Dairy to add its voice to the discussion. We're there this morning for a show-round and interviews.
