Manx move for online poker firm

THE Alderney Gambling Control Commission has lost money after an online gaming company relocated to the Isle of Man.

But the commission said it was confident the losses would be recovered.

Full Tilt Poker will be relaunched after the commission suspended its licence following an indictment by the US government.

US authorities accused the owners of the Alderney-registered business of continuing to welcome American customers despite the introduction in 2006 of a law designed to stop online gaming.

Online site PokerStars signed a deal to acquire Full Tilt Poker and will relaunch the site no later than 6 November.
