POLICE were sent to Sark after threats were made to shoot Sark Estate Management managing director Kevin Delaney, the Guernsey Press can reveal.
Sark Constable Adrian Guille said he made a request for officer assistance with an investigation last week.
He would not confirm or deny, however, that officers had confiscated a number of firearms after a threat was made. It is understood that an islander had expressed a wish to shoot Mr Delaney in the legs, while talking to a stranger. That person turned out to be a retired Guernsey Police officer who reported the threat out of concern for Mr Delaney.
Mr Delaney, pictured, confirmed the facts of the story but did not wish to make further comment.
A spokesperson for Guernsey Police was unavailable before going to print.
