PEOPLE living in Sark have dismissed as a joke a threat to shoot Sark Estate Management managing director Kevin Delaney.
It follows reports that a man had his shotguns confiscated by police after confiding to a stranger in the Island Hall that he wanted to attack the Sark Estate Management managing director and Sark Newsletter editor.
This stranger turned out to be a former policeman, who reported the threat out of concern for Mr Delaney, pictured.
Guernsey Police would not confirm or deny details of the incident yesterday.
But Sarkees talking about the incident played down the likelihood of shots being fired. One islander described the threat as 'just words from a mouthy Guernseyman'.
