30% of Sark Folk Festival tickets sell on first day

TICKETS for next year's Sark Folk Festival were hot property on the first day of sales yesterday.

They were available as of midday for the event, which is taking place from 5-7 July next year.

'Within one hour we had sold 30% of our tickets. We are really pleased with this support and ticket sales are still going strong this afternoon,' founder Simon Harvey said.

Mr Harvey said tickets – which are now £60 for the weekend – were currently available only online. However, Sark residents could buy them from the Sark Tourist office.
