A LATVIAN photographer, whose time-lapse video of Guernsey tides had 30,000 internet hits last year, has returned to the island to make a winter film.

Kaspars Daleckis, 22, has been waking up at 5am for the past two months and going out with his equipment to take thousands of images of island tides, sunsets, sunrises and Town activity.

The winter video will be posted online on Christmas Day.

'Last year, I started taking photographs on my days off,' he said.

'Guernsey is a beautiful place – I've never seen tides like the ones here.'

  • The new time-lapse video will be posted on http://vimeo.com/kasparsdaleckis.
