A RECORD amount of Christmas mail has given Guernsey Post a boost heading into the new year, its chief executive has said.
By the end of today it is expected that roughly 262,000 packets will have been delivered from 1 December– nearly a 30% increase compared with last year's figure of 204,000.
And as well as parcels, a record has also broken for greetings cards with roughly 250,000 sent by Monday 17 December.
Chief executive Boley Smillie was delighted.
'It's been exceptional this year with a record increase in parcels,' he said.
