Bargain hunters find only a few Town shops open

SHOPPERS who went to Town in search of the sales yesterday found most places closed.

Boots, HMV, the Land of Green Ginger and Next were among the very few that opened their doors.

The first customer was waiting outside Next at 3am and by the time the doors opened at 6 o'clock, some 150 others had joined her.

Access had to be restricted at certain times due to the number of people in the shop.
