Bad weather is expected to hit the UK over the weekend, and it's possible that air travel could be affected. We'll be keeping an eye on the situation throughout today and will have an update in tomorrow's paper.

The weather locally is fine at the moment, coinciding with the first ormering tide of the year today, so we'll be heading to the coast to see how many people turn out to try and collect a feed for the family.

Guernsey Gas has announced a price rise in the Gazette page of today's paper, and we're expecting a statement from the company today giving more background on the increase.

And we'll have another update on the situation surrounding ward closures due to apparent staff shortages at the PEH in tomorrow's paper.

Guernsey police are paying a visit to pupils at Blanchelande today and we're going along as well to hear what they have to say.

Rob Batiste's Inside Track column appears in tomorrow's sports pages, and one of this themes this week will be the travel arrangements for the Guernsey team to visit this year's Nat West Island Games in Bermuda.
