There's been a strong reaction to yesterday's story that glass might not form part of the proposed kerbside recycling scheme, with people commenting both on This is Guernsey and the Guernsey Press Facebook page.

We'll have summaries of their views in a story tomorrow, as well as going out and talking to other islanders to get their reaction.

Guernsey's Sunday trading laws are back in the news again, following the cancellation of a wedding fayre due to problems with the licensing of some of the exhibitors. We'll have reaction to today's front page story on the problems in tomorrow's Press.

The Billet d'Etat for March is published tomorrow, and States members will find out what issues they're due to discuss at their next meeting. Reporters will be studying it today to prepare summary reports on the key matters for publication tomorrow.

The public toilets at North Beach car park have been vandalised again, and this has led to a threat that they might be closed completely. We'll be finding out more about this today.

The annual Eisteddfod starts in just over a week, and today we'll be meeting singing teacher Aindre Reece-Sheerin, who's been tutoring a group of Parkinson's disease sufferers in preparation for their entry into the music section.

And with the news that the local branch of Blockbuster has not been named in the latest round of closures, we'll be asking if this shows that there is still life in Guernsey retail generally.

In tomorrow's sports pages there's a look ahead to the weekend's events.

These include the Southern British Athletics Championships, which will see several local runners participating, a big clash in the Priaulx League between Vale Rec and Bels, Guernsey FC playing away to Raynes Park Vale and the Guernsey Rugby Club meeting Gravesend at Footes Lane.
