GUERNSEY'S first-ever joint head teacher will take charge of Forest Primary and Le Rondin, Education has revealed.

Le Rondin head teacher Paula Sullivan, pictured, will hold the joint 'executive' position for an interim two-year period following the retirement of Forest Primary head teacher Gary Le Huray in the summer.

The announcement sparked concern from some parents who called for more details of the arrangement and how it would work.

The Education Department will review the arrangement towards the end of 2014, which it said would enable a permanent arrangement for leadership to be in place for September 2015.
