NEIGHBOURS have welcomed plans to refurbish the Cour du Parc tower block.

But they have raised concerns as to whether five parking spaces will be enough for the planned 50 flats.

The Guernsey Housing Association has submitted a planning application to revamp the building off Park Street to provide a mix of social housing, partial ownership properties and key worker accommodation.

The association has said it would be too expensive to create more parking. Instead motorbike and bike parking will be created and residents will be given bus timetables and Ormer cards.

Hayley Forsey, 44, pictured, lives opposite the flats and thinks the new green cladding would improve the building. But she was very concerned about parking.
