BUS routes could undergo a massive overhaul if islanders agree to changes the operator hopes will turn around declining passenger numbers.
They include scrapping the round-island number 7 route in favour of a less frequent visitor-focused service, a direct link between the airport and the Bridge and the introduction of night buses on Fridays and Saturdays.
Visitors would also be expected to pay £2 a fare, with residency eventually being proved by possession of an Ormer card – with its fees increasing from 75p to 85p per journey for 20-journey cards and from 50p to 60p for 50-journey cards.
If accepted the changes could come into force on 12 May.
