Sark Folk Festival beats others to win Spiral Awards 2013

SARK FOLK FESTIVAL has been named the best festival as part of the Spiral Awards 2013.

It was up against some top names, including Cambridge Folk Festival, Beautiful Days and the Maverick festivals.

The winner was chosen by the public, and chair of the organising committee Simon Harvey said he was shocked.

'We were really, really pleased to be nominated in the first place and we didn't expect it to go any further really.

'To be named the best is just fantastic and especially since we were up against some big names like Beautiful Days.'
