A DECISION on the future of the 11-plus will be made next year, it is confirmed today, as part of a major overhaul of education.
The Education Department has outlined its new vision document, which seeks to create a 'world-class education system' and also includes reviewing the island's curriculum, devolving more decision-making to schools, and creating more opportunities for lifelong learning.
'Today's Learners; Tomorrow's World' will be presented at a public meeting on Wednesday 10 April at 7pm at St Sampson's High School as part of a wider consultation.
The States will debate the vision later this year.
