The robbery from Union Street Stores yesterday will be among the stories we're pursuing today.

We'll be aiming to find out more about what happened, keeping in touch with the hospital to find out how the man who was injured is faring, and getting comments from the shop's owner.

The States' March meeting is expected to conclude today, as members wrap up discussion of the States Strategic Plan. We'll have a summary of what's said in tomorrow's paper.

We'll also be trying to find out more about the circumstances surrounding the dismissal of four waste collectors from the States Works Department. Unite union rep Bob Lanning said he would be looking into the matter himself and we'll be talking to him later.

Mr Lanning is also in the news regarding a dispute that's been registered by airport firefighters over this year's pay offer. With them and the States manual workers both fighting a pay freeze we will be getting more reaction today.

Even though it's over two weeks since the blizzard conditions hit the island, the clean-up is continuing. We'll have a report on what's still keeping clean-up teams busy tomorrow.

There's a busy weekend of sport ahead, and with no Guernsey Press on Good Friday tomorrow's sports pages will be looking ahead to some of the packed programme.

There'll be a preview of Guernsey FC's return match against Spennymoor Town on Saturday night, which will decide once and for all which team goes into the FA Vase final.

Then there's the Easter Running Festival, which will see two Olympic athletes joining islanders and other visitors in events.

It's also planned to look at the Guernsey Velo Club's annual four days of cycle races, the hill climb and a sprint at Vazon.
