Dave Parish was sitting in his car near the top of Smith Street when he learned that he had won a furnished new-build two-bedroom apartment in Victoria Road, St Peter Port, plus legal costs.
The winning ticket was 0095 and Mr Parish's son, Sam, and his girlfriend Amelia Saxby had ticket 0094.
'Sam has only just returned to the island from university and they have been looking for somewhere to live,' said Mr Parish.
