St Saviour's has become the latest parish to announce that it will undertake kerbside recycling only if it can keep its existing private refuse collector, Clint Blondel, pictured.

We'll be getting reaction from the Public Services Department to this latest development and asking how it is going to affect its plans to bring in the new recycling service.

And in the wake of last night's meeting to discuss changes to the island's bus service, we'll be out talking to islanders and asking if they feel the changes are enough to make them use the bus in future. We'll also be seeking a comment from VisitGuernsey on the issue of a higher fare being charged to visitors.

We're going to be canvassing opinion on the news that powerboating is returning to the island later this year, with the announcement of a race from London to St Malo via Guernsey, so expect a report on that tomorrow.

A group of Guernsey students head to the UK today to take part in a Youth Science Forum. We'll be meeting them before they go to find out more about the event and the part they expect to play in it.

And we'll have more details about plans to sell off some States properties, and a report on how tenders are being invited for repairs to the air traffic control building.

Tonight's big event in the annual football calendar is the Stranger Cup semi-finals. The two matches both start at 7.30, with North taking on Vale Rec at Northfield while Saints host Sylvans at Blanche Pierre Lane. Expect a report on both games tomorrow.

And there'll be more on preparations for the 2013 cricket season, which officially gets under way this weekend, with an interview with the island's development manager about the youth team, the first of several looks at the clubs playing this year, and news of the push to get more women playing.
