The States meets to discuss the April Billet d'Etat today, in what is likely to be a short sitting.

The agenda is a small one, and we anticipate that the majority of the discussionis likely to be taken up with Deputy John Gollop, pictured, asking questions about the handling of the AFR affair. There may well be follow-up questions from other Deputies, too.

We'll have a summary of the meeting in Thursday's Press.

With rogue terrier Slygo now safely in the care of the GSPCA, we'll be getting reaction to today's story in which it's suggested by a Forest parish official that the dog should be put to sleep because it had killed several chickens, including some kept as pets.

The Set Sail Trust, which offers sailing trips to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity, is having a special celebration of its birthday at Government House this year, and we'll be going along to talk to those involved with the group.

We'll be paying a visit to Melrose School, where pupils have found an innovative use for a large tree that fell in their playground during the blizzards last month. There'll be a photo and a story in tomorrow's paper.

And we'll be getting comments from islanders about plans for a major powerboating event to visit Guernsey later this year.

Tomorrow's sports pages feature a look at the Cobo cricket team ahead of the start of this year's season.

There'll also be a report on tonight's Guernsey FC match away at Colliers Wood.

And there's a preview of Friday night's dinner boxing at the St Pierre Park, which will see England's ABA light middleweight champion taking to the ring against local fighter James Woolnough.
