VALE REC'S outstanding season can still have the silver ending coach Carl Le Tissier desires.

Once again his men showed their fondness for a Grand Fort Road derby last night as North's miserable run against their neighbours continued, with Rec booking their place in the Stranger Cup final at the chocolate-and-blues' expense at Northfield with a 0-3 victory.

Meanwhile, in the other semi of the night Sylvans needed a stoppage time winner from substitute Joe Collenette at Blanche Pierre Lane to book their place in the final with a 1-0 win.

The goal was so hotly disputed by St Martin's that keeper Dan Jukes picked up a red card after the final whistle from referee Colin Wherry, responding to notification of some sort of verbals from his linesman Ray Green.
