A PETITION by Alderney residents against their island's government will be sent to Lt-Governor Air Marshal Peter Walker next week.
It asks for the dissolution of the current States and for a new election to take place.
Around 100 signatures are believed to have been collected so far.
Just who is behind the move has not been made public, however.
One resident, who did not wish to be named, said: 'The idea of a petition was discussed among a number of people - you could say it was the will of the people. They are not happy with the current States of Alderney.'
