A CYCLIST broke his leg after colliding with a car at the junction of Rue des Landes and New Road, Forest, yesterday lunchtime.

Police and the Ambulance and Rescue Service were called at about 12.30pm.

The windscreen of the vehicle, a blue Subaru Forester, was smashed in the incident.

Joan Jackson, a nurse who lives on the corner of the junction, said she had not seen the accident, but had been at the side of house when she heard a loud thump.

Mrs Jackson said when she went outside, a cyclist was lying in front of the car.
