THE bus saga rumbles on.
Although the strike which brought the CT Plus network to a standstill yesterday is now over, disruption continues as drivers 'work to rule' for the rest of the week.
They are protesting against what they perceive as unfair and unsafe working conditions.
We will be bringing you the latest on the affected schedules, as well as delving further into Guernsey's lack of right to strike legislation, which means local workers can be sacked for taking industrial action – something CT Plus denies it is considering.
We'll also be getting reaction from the island's business community to the new Stepping In pilot scheme - a joint initiative between Social Security, Housing and Commerce and Employment which will see unemployed islanders shadowing short-term licence holders.
The aim is that the local jobseekers would then be able to step into those posts, thereby limiting the number of short-term housing licences issued.
Also today, details of the most radical overhaul of GCSEs in England for a decade are being announced and we'll be looking into the potential impact on Guernsey's education system.
Proposals are believed to include scrapping coursework in favour of end-of-course exams, limiting resits and replacing the current grades with a numbered system.
