FORMER Treasury and Resources chief officer Dale Holmes, who resigned after his department was conned out of £2.6m., has been re-employed by the States as a consultant, it emerged today.

It comes as Public Services confirmed a senior appointment at the harbours and Health and Social Services released further details about a senior advisor brought in to help with financial management.

Mr Holmes, pictured, who dramatically resigned in July last year after Treasury was duped by fraudsters posing as airport contractor Lagan, is now working for Education.

A statement from the department confirmed he was working under a contract to help develop a Guernsey version of local management of schools (LMS).
