A SCIENCE pupil has been named one of the top five physics students in the country.

Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre student Harry Plumley, 17, pictured, entered the AS-level British Physics Olympiad earlier this year.

Thousands of Year 12 students from across the country take part in the competition, which involves a one-hour exam.

'The questions were challenging and there wasn't much preparing you could do,' Harry said.

'They were not the sort of questions you would normally see in an exam paper - they were more thought-provoking problems.'
