In the wake of a report on the Accident and Emergency department at the PEH today the Health and Social Services Department will give a briefing detailing what action they will be taking as a result.

Deputy Mike Hadley leaked the report and was subsequently reprimanded for it, but raised concerns about safety and the cost of the service. We'll be in attendance later to hear what HSSD have to say and we'll have a story in tomorrow's Press.

Guernsey's States faces four days of debate in July, and tomorrow sees the publication of the agenda for that meeting in the form of the Billet d'Etat.

This billet contains several major reports, and today our reporters will be going through it and writing summaries explaining the key recommendations. We'll have details in the paper tomorrow.

Tonight sees a meeting between bus operators CT Plus and their drivers, and after that it's expected that a decision will be taken by the drivers as to whether or not they go on strike this weekend. We'll be preparing a story overnight so check tomorrow's Press for the details.

Also today we'll be looking into concerns over security at the Fish Quay, and going to St Martin's Primary School where children will be given a party on behalf of the Every Child Our Future charity as a thank you for their fund-raising efforts.

Tomorrow's sports pages will have reaction to today's articles about the extra costs that the Football Association are levying on Guernsey FC, and the appeal by the club's chairman to local businesses to help out.

There'll also be the latest from this week's archery competition at Port Soif.

And as the Credit Suisse 72-hole strokeplay golf competition continues at L'Ancresse, our golf correspondent heads to La Grande Mare to try out the course there following improvements. It will be here that the first Ravenscroft Open Matchplay tournament takes place in just over a week's time.
