BUILDING work on a new 32-apartment development on St Julian's Avenue has fallen five weeks behind schedule, the developer has revealed.

But that has not deterred buyers putting in offers on a dozen of the apartments, including on one of the three £2.95m. open market penthouse apartments.

The £14.5m. project on the 1.5-acre Vauxlaurens Brewery site began early in the year and should be completed by next April.

Vauxlaurens Property Holdings chairman Martin Belcher said the work was moving forward, but there had been delays.

'There was some difficult weather at the beginning of the year, but we have been catching up well,' he said.
