'Warney' tweets good luck to Guernsey cricketers

WHILE Guernsey's cricketers continue their bid for European honours in England, the squad have also got two celebrity fans batting for them on Twitter, writes Suzanne Heneghan.

Australian leg-spin legend Shane Warne and his fiancee, actress Elizabeth Hurley, have both sent their support to the team currently competing in the ICC European Division One T20 Championship in Sussex.

The tweet was then retweeted by international star Hurley, who describes herself on her profile as 'a mum, model, actress, bikini designer and organic farmer'.

Landing the celebrity couple's online endorsement has added to a great week so far for a young Guernsey side that has already beaten Norway and Austria.
