CONDOR FERRIES passengers were delighted yesterday at the return of 'convenient and faster' sailings to and from Weymouth.
Yesterday saw the first sailing in 18 months from Weymouth to Guernsey following £4.47m. of repairs to the town's harbour.
The return of Condor to the port has also been a welcome relief for many of those in the tourism industry in Weymouth.
Sailings to Weymouth stopped due to problems with the berth and the need for repairs.
Weymouth & Portland Borough councillor Ian Roebuck said the work on the harbour was an investment for the next 40 years.
