WILL the new heir to the throne be a boy or girl?

We're hoping to find out today as the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to hospital this morning in the early stages of labour.

Staying in the private Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital, with the Duke of Cambridge by her side, the world will be watching and waiting for news of the latest addition to the royal family.

Closer to home, we'll also be getting reaction to our lead story today about the decline in Guernsey's recreational boat tourism.

Marine consultant Sean Fuller is calling for a strategy and shift in attitudes to halt the estimated £46m.-worth of revenue lost since the mid-90s. We'll be finding out what people think of his comments.

Also this morning we'll be at the airport finding out how the fog is impacting on travellers.

And tonight the Community Foundation is hosting a public debate on the issue of poverty in the island. Chaired by Wayne Bulpitt, with speakers including Peter Roffey and Chief Minister Peter Harwood, the event aims to explore real areas of need in Guernsey and how these could be better measured, monitored and met in the future.

Finally, in tomorrow's sport pages, we'll be covering the third and final match between Guernsey and the Netherlands under-19 cricketers, we'll have a full report on the sell-out white collar boxing show at the ICG and a review of the 40th annual national hill climb, plus we will reveal the GFA football award winners.
