A YOUNG girl from Alderney who suffered from an extremely rare muscle-wasting condition has died.
Kaylee Huddart Tugby, 8, was one of only four people in the world known to suffer from an unusual type of myopathy – a disease caused by the dysfunction of muscle fibre – and was the only known child to have the illness.
Kaylee's uncle, James Clarke, said she passed away peacefully, at home on Saturday 20 July.
'Kaylee was such a beautiful little girl with a heart as big as the world and a smile that could light up the darkest room,' he said.
'She didn't complain about things she couldn't do but instead made the best of the things she could.'
