BONNY babies returned to the South Show yesterday for the first time in more than 10 years.
Hundreds of people turned out for the first day of the event, which saw a range of entertainment, including a doughnut eating competition.
And entries for this year's exhibition classes were on a par with last year.
South Show committee member Christine Guerin said the show had been growing since it moved to the Professor Shaw Community Centre, in St Martin's, around eight years ago.
There were three bonny baby classes, the first being 'bubbly baby' for babies up to one year old. The second 'terrific tot' class was for ages one and two and the third 'cheerful child' class was for those aged three or four.
