ONE of Guernsey's most popular pubs will get a makeover early next year after planning permission was granted.
ONE of Guernsey's most popular pubs will get a makeover early next year after planning permission was granted.
Rockmount owner Randalls of Guernsey applied to make several changes to the Cobo pub, including developing a restaurant above the bar.
The existing ground floor is due to remain largely the same, but with enhanced features including front sliding doors to take advantage of the views. The new restaurant takes the place of staff quarters and plans include two first-floor side extensions, together with terraces for outside dining. Pub food will continue to be served downstairs.
It will be run by a new management team, taking over from David Nussbaumer. The directors of Randalls estimate that the downstairs bars at the Rockmount will probably be closed for refurbishment until May.
